These hand-painted porcelain earrings are inspired by "lover's eyes", very popular in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. At that time, British aristocrats wore miniatures representing the eye of their spouse or lover, a symbol of love, fidelity, and secret complicity.
Reinterpreted here in a poetic universe, the eyes appear hidden within a rose bush, like glances concealed among the flowers. This composition evokes a discreet, intimate, almost secret love, between romance and mystery.
