This hand-painted porcelain pendant is inspired by the byôbu "Shirouzō Kuroushi-zu" by Nagasawa Rosetsu (長沢芦雪) , famous for its humor and pictorial boldness.
- Front view: The gigantic black bull , almost overflowing the space, accompanied by the small white puppy sitting near its belly , with a mischievous and naive face.
- Back view: A close-up of the white puppy , capturing all its mischief and charming absurdity.
The contrast between the imposing power of the bull and the comical lightness of the puppy illustrates Rosetsu's subtle humor and whimsy. This double-sided pendant captures the vibrancy and theatricality of the original in a single, poetic, and unique piece.
